Tacoma, Spokane’s arch-rival for the title of 2nd Most Populous City in Washington, has punked the Lilac City badly. In the new edition of Outside Magazine‘s annual “Where to Live Now” round-up of cool outdoor towns Tacoma is listed for the first time. There are a million inane city lists out there, but the Outside list is actually one that matters, and Tacoma has beat us to it. Sure they have Mt. Ranier–so what? They also have I-5 cutting the town in half. I guess the Spokane outdoor secret is going to kept a little while longer.
