Big Correction
A production error led to a manuscript being mangled in the current issue. In the article “Colville in the Spring” on page 14 there are several errors. The Farmhouse in which Lovitt Restaurant resides was converted in 1981, not built. The summit of the Cross Mountain trail does not reach 12,200 feet (!) and is not connected in anyway to Colorado or the San Juan National Forest. Out There Monthly strives for accuracy in everything we do and we regret the error. We hope no one has taken off to Colville looking for a 12,000 foot high mountain!

Jon, you cruel bastard. I was already in Chewelah when my iphone informed me of the big correction. First guy to scale the new 12K peak in Colville would have been SWEET. I’m rewarding myself with a Belly Buster at Zips Chewelah as a consolation prize. SWEET.
